GCBPA BENEFITS
"Leadership and Service" are the words our organization is built upon.
Our members believe that for our businesses to survive,
we must work together — united toward a common goal. Our organization has enjoyed prosperity and weathered difficult times, but the foundation of the association has not faltered. Our membership is a group of dynamic and knowledgeable men and women who believe that unity, leadership and service remain the keys to success.
GCBPA members give much to this association — their time, their money, their expertise. By using these resources and cultivating that knowledge, the Greater Cincinnati Bowling Proprietors Association has developed a list of membership services and privileges designed with one thing in mind — to improve our members' business.
A member’s business is bowling. GCBPA’s business is to offer our members the tools they need to make their business a success. Marketing, Communications, Tournaments, group purchasing programs, business and educational seminars, legislative representation, public recognition of the association and the industry are among the many assets of GCBPA membership. BPAA membership gives the proprietor the strength to gain a fair share of their community's recreational and entertainment dollars in a very competitive market and gives them the means to operate a successful and reputable business.
Membership in the Greater Cincinnati Bowling Proprietors Association is available to any person or corporation that owns or operates a bowling center. Technically, the bowling center is the "member" and the proprietor is the "representative." Members also benefit from belonging to the Bowling Centers Association of Ohio (BCAO) and the Bowling Proprietors Association of America (BPAA).

WHY JOIN US
Freda Seitz, Co-owner of Harrison Bowl.
When we first took ownership of the Harrison Bowl in September, 2003, the
GCBPA was first to welcome us to the industry. Cooperative ventures like the BPA is a great resource to draw upon for marketing programs, legislative expertise, networking opportunities, pooled marketing resources and group buying programs that will positively impact your bottom line.
Our Association fees have been offset by the programs we've implemented that were developed by the Group and collectively marketed through Member Center's. Efforts of several founding members of the Greater Cincinnati Bowling Proprietors Association have progressed High School Bowling from a Club Level activity to a Sanctioned Sport within Ohio. This has strengthened our relationship with the School District and will undoubtedly lead to future business opportunities.
Tina Staudigel, Manager Heid’s Lanes
- It is the best business decision I have ever made.
Heid's Lanes has been in our family for 51 years. My grandfather built and operated the business first, then each sibling took their turn managing the business. Now myself, the first grandchild, third generation, is managing it.
When I became the new manager of Heid's Lanes in July of 2007 one of the first thing that I wanted to know is if we were BPA members. I found out we were not and
I went to seek out how to join. Joining the GCBPA was the best decision and investment that I made in my first year. These GCBPA members have welcomed me with open arms and made me feel part of the organization.
The amount of knowledge and years of experience in one of the BPA meetings are priceless. As is, the networking ability, the words of advice and the chance
to openly discuss different business proposition and getting to hear different outlooks on the subjects. That was just the beginning, after getting my BPA membership number I started researching the BPA website and found an abundance of companies that give our businesses discounts for being part of a national
organization that I would never be able to receive has a individual company.
And this is good for my customers. They benefit with more events, better pricing, savings and being part of the GCBPA family bowling center offerings.
Being part of the GCBPA also gives me the ability to be able to compete with larger
companies in marketing and advertising that I would not have been able to do on my own as a small business. If any other bowling proprietor that does not belong to the BPA would ask is it worth being part of the BPA I would have to tell them "It would be the best business decision that you could make".
